Making the first of what could be several trades this week before Friday’s deadline, the Kraken shipped two of their best veterans to the Lightning to begin accelerating their rebuild with high draft picks.

Falling further out of the playoff race, the Kraken need to begin shifting their focus towards the future, which means shopping several veterans before the trade deadline to acquire draft assets and younger players under club control.
